Air - Phil Knight

I finally got around to watching Air. Was it just me, or did they make Phil Knight look like a total buffoon?

Also, Phil already offered a royalty per shoe sale to Magic Johnson, so the idea that offering royalties to an athlete was unheard of is odd.
