They are obviously doing it for different reasons. But this anti trust lawsuit going right now, lead by former UO WBB player, could end up destroying all women’s sports and any non revenue sports. They are suing for billions, and according to Wilner the NCAA only has 454mill. It would bankrupt them, and schools aren’t going to pay athletes of sports tha lose money.

"Selling the athletic department" would probably make them ineligible to participate in NCAA sports, fwiw.
