As the article says, "Tuesday's ruling was largely expected." A stay just keeps the status quo intact while the appeal is heard. Doesn't really mean much for what the ultimate outcome will be.

Interesting to note that the two schools suing are the only two universities in the Pac-12 without law schools.
As far as outcome, I don't see how anyone in Oregon could see it as a "win" for Oregon State to get buried and no divorce alimony. I hope the outcome of this is equitable.
I stole this from the benny house:

If the remaining Pac-2 tries to expand with the MWC, I don't think I'd feel comfortable with them continuing the "Pac" mark what-so-ever, but they're gonna need some shmeckles to stay afloat until something more substantial lands.sports.yahoo.com/sources-oregon-state-washington-state-finalizing-scheduling-alliance-with-mountain-west-conference-180632163.html?
Looks like the MWC is giving up a conference game to schedule in OSU and WSU. So MWC will have a 7 game conference schedule and all have 1 against either OSU or WSU.
OSU and WSU will pay MWC a combined $14M
MWC keeps TV revenue for their home games.
OSU and WSU will keep TV revenue for their home games.
NO merger obligation.
Option to repeat in 2025.
