it is old, I remember watching a video of Frost telling it at some kind of banquet for Mariota's Heisman campaign, I'm sure there is video somewhere on the net.

The story sounds so out of character for Mariota anyway....

the question is... why is Frost lying about the story??? or is there some inner joke we are not privy too?

Give me a break! It was a joke and Frost told it as a joke! It is a joke and forever will be a joke.

I think it's supposed to be ironic too, since Mariota would obviously never say those things.

With someone else, you might assume it's a true story. But once you know he's talking about Mariota, you laugh and realize it's just a joke.
