Pac-12 Baseball Tournament

Oregon will face Utah on Wednesday and USC on Thursday.
Both games are at 2:30.
Win both and you’re in. Oregon is in a pretty reasonable spot too though if they win one and lose one to potentially sneak in as the 4th seed.
It sounds weird but it may make sense to root for Arizona and Oregon State because of that.

First round of pool play starts today. Not sure who we want to root for in USC vs Utah. As long as Oregon wins one game, they will be in if Arizona and Oregon State wins their pools.

Re: Pac-12 Baseball Tournament
USC won a close one yesterday, 7-6 over Utah. Oregon plays Utah today.
Ducks are in an interesting spot where we could be anywhere from the 20-40 seed in the tournament. Last projections have Oregon as the #28 seed. 25-32 seeds are probably the worst because you are playing in a regional with a top 7 team.
So really, the Ducks either wanna do really well and win the tournament with hopes of being a high #2 seed or a low #1 seed (Probably end up being about 18-22 seed which is great). OR we want the Ducks do play poorly and end up a high 3 seed. 33-42 range.
Hopefully the former. lol.

Oregon was lucky it was tied 2-2 going into the 7th, but Utah finally took the lead 4-2 after 7. Oregon continues to rely solely on the bats to win games, especially with how much the pitchers struggle to close out innings. Oregon has been cold all game long, only have two chances to turn that around.
I guess this is just Wasikowki baseball, just try to out-score your opponent!

Yeah looking slim for the Ducks on this one. But since USC beat Utah, this game doesn't really matter for us to advance. Gotta beat USC, and we advance.OregonFan4Life wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 5:01 pm Oregon was lucky it was tied 2-2 going into the 7th, but Utah finally took the lead 4-2 after 7. Brock Moore pitched decently against Utah's ace but Oregon just could never get the bats going. I imagine they'll go with Gordon tomorrow now that he's got his full week rest.

Ducks lose to USC 2-4, what a disappointing Pac-12 tournament for Oregon.

Pretty disappointing, especially offensively with only 4 runs in the tournament. I will say though, Oregon just landed them in probably a high 3 seed spot in the tournament.

Projections are #3 in the Norman regional and seeing a reunion with Oral Roberts.
