Im in asset gathering mode, i always go bpa in those situations. The Bean Regime wrote:So far the draft's gone mostly as expected imo.
The only 2 picks that surprised me were Joe Smith at 4 (that might be my Wolves bias though ) and O'Bannon at 9. I think McDyess is better than Smith, so getting him at 8 is good value. I liked Nuggets grabbing Stackhouse with #3 to secure the perimeter pick as there was a glut of premium forwards available and I'm certain Stackhouse would have gone 4 if he picked, say, Marshall #3.
I was curious if Knicks would pass on Stoudamire having Reeves, but I think he was right to go BPA.
And then getting a regular amazing player at #10 is always a nice haul. Probably would have been my pick had I kept it despite not having any need for big men.

Had Marshall/Stack/Stoudy/KG/Sheed going in that order by sims. But KG got upped a bit, same goes for Marshall and Stoudy… very weak guard class. Might have a sleeper like Murdock though

I thought Marshall was a surefire top 2 as well. Nuggets got good picks at both 3 and 5.jibbajabba614 wrote:Had Marshall/Stack/Stoudy/KG/Sheed going in that order by sims. But KG got upped a bit, same goes for Marshall and Stoudy… very weak guard class. Might have a sleeper like Murdock though

The Kings are good at a lot of things
Making fast draft picks is not one of them.

Re: 1995 Draft Discussion
Whats crazy is that their team is stacked at PG and SG so I looked at who was expiring and their PF's are all expiring so I took the top PF on the board. If they had made their pick, I would guess it wouldnt have been himDrBradBuss wrote:And he takes the guy I want. Beautiful.

For a bit of fun, I looked back at the '95 from 1.0

Wouldn't hate an early-mid 2nd if anyone doesn't want theirs (future 2nds available too)

Re: 1995 Draft Discussion
So since my last comment, the picks I really liked were:
Respert (Grizzlies): Freaking Grizzlies. Ugh. But the man had really appealing notes despite my general distrust of inside-only SGs.
Zakauskas (Knicks): Preferred him over the other high-potential C in Tarlac. Very curious how those two big men end up.
Hoiberg (Magic): Was my top target for #33. Darn!
Rencher (Suns): Was also high on my list for my pick. Seemingly has a high all-around ceiling while also starting with high handling which alone could keep him in the league for several seasons.
