It’s early enough that I can start a rumor that Lanning didn’t want him anyways, right?

Doesn't sound like they're going to be in a hurry to replace him. Imagine they'll have GAs and analysts taking over the rest of spring.

Sounds like Lanning's statement ruffled Locklyn's feathers. Bitterness seems to be abounding...

What seems to be the issue? Is Locklyn upset? Some sort of Twitter spat going on?

It sounds like he doesn't like some of the things Lanning has said about him after he's accepted the Ohio State job.

But honestly, the couple things I've ready (including the tweet above) shouldn't be hurtful statements. I think either Locklyn is overreacting and soft, or there's way more beef between them prior to him leaving. IDK though?

Locklyn might just be trying to make himself feel better about leaving Oregon high and dry by drumming up slights and hurt feelings. Pretty common stuff during separations. Nothing Lanning said in that quote is inherently derogatory.

Agree and that is why I am not understanding the beef. In all honesty, Lanning does have some ground to stand on in terms of being aggravated. Locklyn did have contact with other schools, specifically USC and Tennessee so he directly or indirectly implied he was opening to listening,

Seems like a gamble on his part. TOSU fans wanted Day fired after 2023, there is a good shot they get their wish if he doesn’t meet Ohio State expectations, which are natty or bust.

This isn't beef, just Locklyn being a turkey.

What's Lanning supposed to say? "Sucks we lost an assistant coach, hopefully we can find someone who is almost as good?" Hell no lol. This is Oregon. Competition and improvement will always be the goal.

Maybe the internet rumors that Lanning felt Locklyn’s recruiting didn’t meant standards are a little more accurate than I initially thought.

Locklyn really just can't stop sounding like a soft batch cookie.

Famous quote-

The most important thing to do if you find yourself in a hole is to stop digging.

Locklyn needs to move on and quit talking.
