What's up with that? I was just making a point. I never said anything along those lines.dthomas=ddixon wrote:Im sure they'll out effort us.
The fact of the matter is that they have more quality wins than we do and have played a MUCH tougher schedule than we have. There's no doubt in my mind that they'd have at least as many wins as Oregon does if they played in the Pac-12.
Look at some of their losses:
Northwestern (NIT Team)
Virginia (NCAA Team)
Mississippi (NIT Team - Split Two Games)
Mississippi State (NIT Team - Split Two Games)
Alabama (NCAA Team - Split Two Games)
Florida (NCAA Team)
Tennessee (NCAA Team)
Vanderbilt (NCAA Team)
Kentucky (NCAA Team - Two Losses)
So 10 of their 14 losses are to either NCAA or NIT bound teams. There may be more, but that's what stood out to me.
I'm just saying that their 18-14 record is VERY deceptive because they're battle tested. I'd like to say that this game looks like a "gimme", but it doesn't look that way at all if you look closely at their record, schedule and losses. They also have a win against a very good Marquette team.
I hope the Ducks come out and play their best. This is going to be a tough opponent.

i'm sure he was kidding. people were comically attributing our loss to colorado to "poor effort."
this is the nit, everyone is kinda/sorta good. of course oregon will have to play well to win. we're not good enough to half-ass anything, if we were that good we'd be in the better tournament.

True. However, 8 of Oregon's 9 losses are to NCAA or NIT bound teams, which seems like an even better number than LSU's.SuperDuck wrote:

looking at their roster they are pretty big up front three 6-9 guys and 2 7 footers. But I feel like we can create some matchup problems

Yeah I was referencing the other thread ha. LSU really struggles on the road, 3-8 to be exact, & all their good wins came at home.

They are pretty terrible away from home, Ducks should be fine unless we buff it up again.

Re: LSU Won't Be A Pushover
As stated, we are a HORRIBLE road team…and to put that Bama win in prospective…they were down three starters.
I’m not saying they won’t give y’all hell, they played VERY well against Kentucky in the SEC tournament and was within 3 scores for the majority of the second half.
I don’t like their chances of winning win they are playing away from home, across the country, against a team with 48 hours of notice…but I still have hope since the Pac 12 was down this year in B-ball and they have been playing well lately.

Re: LSU Won't Be A Pushover
Good game, LSU is really young in front 5 starting lineup, #41 is really good inside on offense. I am impressed with him. Now, IOWA look pretty good to me today.
