Oregon St. at UCLA

Post by Greenblood »

This one's intriguing to me. The Beavers barely won at home against what definitely appears to be a very mediocre and overrated Wisconsin team, though it should be mentioned that statistically the Beavers had a decisive advantage. They also have the extra week of prep time that UCLA doesn't have.

UCLA just looks good, period, and I do think they're the better team in this matchup, and they are at home.

I see the Bruins winning a fairly close one, something like 34-27.

It is very tough to say. Are the Beavers 'back' or is Wisconsin that bad? They barely beat Northern Iowa and should have lost to Utah State, who looks to be solid. UCLA on the other hand, has what looks to be an impressive victory over Nebraska and then two victories over hapless Rice and Houston. I think this game will say more about OSU than it will for UCLA. Part of me would like to see OSU win so that Beav fans get their hopes up.

I think this will be a close game too, UCLA by a td or two. Hopefully Franklin goes for 100+ and 2 or 3 td's for me.

I'm calling OSU with the upset. Mannion didn't even play that great against Wisconsin. OSU's D is for real. I think they come in and shut down a younger UCLA offense. They will force lots of turnovers, and Mannion will have a solid game.

Mark Bankers D sucks against spread offenses as Chip has showed us every year.

OK, but UCLA spread offense vs our spread offense. Quite a distinction.

10-3 OSU leading, and notice UCLA have board signs for plays like Oregon does. Are they trying to copy Oregon?

It seem that beavers plan is to go hard after price and beat him one on one, its working twice so far.

Both teams look mediocre at best right now. I would go Manion to Wheaton until they stop it cause Marcus is killing
Ucla by himself..
