It seem that chip know how to recruit qb, he top recruited munched from cinn, Manziel from Texas A&M and Boyd from Clemson, who else am I missing? Oh what is his name that are currently in LSU? We locked up Lockie, Rod and mariota which is good group of QB with them.

Kind of crazy to think of the QB competition that could have developed if that Texas A&M offer had never come in!UOducksTK1 wrote:Yup Manziel was a beast, it's a bummer he stayed in Texas.

Just closer to home. He was commited to us for probably 4-5 months but then got an offer from aTm once the season started and decided to stay local

Probably didn't help that we had 2 other QB commits in that class.lukeyrid13 wrote:Just closer to home. He was commited to us for probably 4-5 months but then got an offer from aTm once the season started and decided to stay local

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

The guy that ended up at LSU, was his name Jerrard Randall? Do you suppose we will ever see him play?bigsugarduck wrote:which ended up being 1...RanDux wrote:Probably didn't help that we had 2 other QB commits in that class.lukeyrid13 wrote:Just closer to home. According to this article, Mariota has the second highest QB rating for freshman QBs. First place goes to Manziel.

Not to mention Manziel is better on his feet.
I'm content with Mariota. Although it would be interested to see how Manziel do if he was starting.
