UW @ Cal (Friday evening)
Like probably most of you, I would undoubtedly enjoy and be amused if a reeling Cal team upended UW tomorrow night, which I think is possible (Cal is actually favored by 4). Almost anything to keep the Huskies and their fans from feeling like their football program is improving. (Remember that I live in Husky territory.)
But it occurs to me that it's possible, should the Huskies win tomorrow, that they might, with the confidence they would gain from that road victory, be able to go on and help the Ducks a bit. I actually think that if the Huskies were to win out, it's not unlikely that they'd slip into the BCS top 25 in the rankings generated after Thanksgiving. They'd be 8-4, with wins over two ranked teams (at least at the time the games were played), plus the fact that there are three other currently ranked teams on their 2012 schedule. If the Huskies did become ranked, that would be another plus on the Ducks' "resume" for the voters in the coaches' and Harris polls. And the Huskies winning out would also include a victory over Utah, which would be a net gain for the Ducks' SOS.
All this just occurred to me recently. I really don't think the Huskies winning their remaining games is "necessary" for the Ducks to get to the NCG if the Ducks indeed win out, but I'm just looking for every edge possible . . .

Who will his brother throw to? He hasn't developed any chemistry throwing the football in his backyard with anyone else. Jesse Palmer will be devastated.cordy02c wrote:The poodles will roll because allen is out for cal with knee injury

Huskies are garbage on the road, but they can actually play defense sometimes. Huskies 31 - 20

This will actually allow them to mention the relation between them even more.karlhungis wrote:Who will his brother throw to? Cal relies so much on Maynard's brother... Without his brother, Maynard has thrown 16 INT's... Even though Cal is losing by 98, it's amazing that these two brothers are brothers as they have at least one of the same parents making them brothers which is amazing because they're on the same team.

How bad is Allen's knee? Think he just shuts it down to rest for NFL at this point?

Rumor is Allen was injured during a late onside kick attempt in a 22 point loss.

At this point, it is hard not to feel like Tedford's chances of keeping his job are going about like this.....

Should also be a warning to critics of Chip who complain he doesn't leave the starters in long enough.karlhungis wrote:Man, I bet that helps Tedford's chances of remaining employed.maxduck wrote:Rumor is Allen was injured during a late onside kick attempt in a 22 point loss.
