Woods needs to stop being so soft and doing an off-balanced fading hook. You are one foot away from the hoop with one person on your side. DUNK IT

Woods has been really soft on both ends of the court. Ernie has been very critical of his play tonight. Ernie has also been very complementary of Artis, Dotson and Austin. You can tell that he really loves Dotson especially.UOducksTK1 wrote:Woods needs to stop being so soft and doing an off-balanced fading hook. Kazemi is special. Agree with Ernie that Kazemi needs to be more aggressive on the offensive end. Kazemi kind of reminds me of Matt Barnes.
Singler has been awful....

Kazemi was awesome tonight, that last dunk was beautiful. Solid all around game. Would have liked to see us pull away sooner, but the end score ended up being quite padded.
Fun team to watch, Dana is a very good coach.

Woods played pretty good tonight, don't know how many people consider 15 with 2 blocks a weak night.

Can't believe how hot both teams were shooting tonight. Oregon was hitting at almost 64% and UTSA at 56%.

Something like 8 of his points came towards the end of the game. Woods only grabbed 2 rebounds in 22 minutes. That's pathetic for someone who is 6'11. Compare that to Ben Carter who is maybe 6'8 and doesn't have Woods' athleticism. Carter grabbed 7 boards in 17 minutes. Carter, like Kazemi, not only has a nose for the ball, but knows how to box out and has excellent timing.buckmarkduck wrote:Woods played pretty good tonight, don't know how many people consider 15 with 2 blocks a weak night.
This entire freshman recruiting class looks really promising. It's pretty remarkable to have two impact freshmen starters who play like veterans. Then you throw in Carter, who has been a difference maker off the bench. Willie Moore is a bit raw, but has potential to be a very good 6th man type of player. Richardson is an athletic swingman who will play more of a role next year with the departures of Singler and Emory.

I thought he played well, just no need to be so soft against such weaker big men.buckmarkduck wrote:Woods played pretty good tonight, don't know how many people consider 15 with 2 blocks a weak night.

It's pretty insane how freshmen like Dotson and Artis are performing so consistently for us already as freshmen.

Dotson is quickly becoming one of my fav players.
He plays hard the hole game. Very athletic and shows
no fear. Love the make up of this team. We have a point
guard who can run this team.

All the young players in particular are playing real well which bodes well to when Carter and Austin take on more minutes next season. This is going to be a real good team to watch this year.

And a few have said Altman cant coach. Or could not
recruit at this level. He is a really good coach and we should
be thankful he came here. A few more games together and
they will be an even tougher team to face.
To me the biggest factor is Oregon now has some big
guys that can play. They run very well and defend. Its been along
time that Oregon had even a remote inside game. I love the make
up of this team.

This years frosh class reminds of how our football program recruits. Not star powered or full of big names, just good kids who know the game & fit our system. The one & dones kill your program unless your Kentucky and it seems like Altman will just do what he did at creighton but with access to much more talented players. Which IMO is the way to do it, use the mid major format at a big school.
