Kevin Ware .... oh god

Post by Duck24 »

Haven't seen it and have been avoiding it like the plague. Normally injuries don't bother me but after seeing the video of the bench reacting, that was enough for me. I've seen Livingston, Lattimore, McGahee and all of the other notable ones but I guess I've never seen the bone pop out and be exposed so I don't know how I will react. That unknown is what is keeping me from watching it.

Seeing that happen to my 4 year old Grandson's arm was bad enough (2 hour surgery, + 2 0r 3 permanent screws)... My son got moved to striker on his HS soccer squad after the starter had a very similar injury while being slide tackled in a game. I saw that one up close, since I was a volunteer assistant on the team. The kid had a rod surgically inserted and removed after 2 years of rehab, so he could play his senior season.

I really don't need to check Ware's injury for comparison. Wish him all the luck, butit will likely be a long recovery.

When I tell you that Oregon freshman point guard is going to be nice, that's a understatement!
