Kansas G Anrio Adams Transferring
Freshman, from Seattle's Ranier Beach HS considering Oregon, UW, Arizona and UCLA according to a now deleted tweet.
Promising young player, doubt we have room. Showed immaturity earlier this season by publicly composing about his minutes via twitter.

He was a 4 star out of high school. Never hurts to add a shooter.

I see either UW or UCLA since they have the most room and need for guards. Oregon and Arizona are well-stocked at the guard/wing positions that he'd face another situation of being behind established rotation players.

Would be a like-for-like swap for Moore if we were able to land him. If he wants to come to Oregon I'm sure Altman would be more than happy to facilitate it. Looks like he's a quality player, and like duckgrad said, it never hurts to have another shooter. That was the one aspect of our offense that really wasn't there consistently last year.

Very talented kid, but he had academic issues in high school. During his recruitment, I also remembering reading that he had attended something like 3 or 4 different high schools (major red flag - see Jabari Brown). He's not really a pure shooter. More of a Monta Ellis type of player. Probably a better fit for UW, where they have zero structure and basically just play streetball.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

Even with the potential issues, the kid will have to ride the pine for a year, wherever he lands. That is time to mature and develop... Time for a coach like Altman to mold him into a serviceable option, and hone some needed skills.
UCLA or Oregon are probably the places most likely to accomplish that. Romar and Miller don't strike me as developmental coaches.

UW never offered in HS, doubt he goes there now. Would be a good replacement for loyd, since he will have to sit a year and loyd will be a sr.

Except he's not really a PG, more of a small scoring 2-guard.buckmarkduck wrote:UW never offered in HS, doubt he goes there now. Would be a good replacement for loyd, since he will have to sit a year and loyd will be a sr.
