Oregon St. 22-5-0 .815 43-9-0 .827
Oregon 20-7-0 .741 43-13-0 .768
UCLA 20-7-0 .741 38-15-0 .717
UCLA plays @ Stanford, and OSU hosts WSU.
First place is probably over with, but a sweep would probably give us sole possession of second place and a good chance at hosting both a regional / super regional.

Hopefully Oregon finishes out strong to put the OSU series behind them. Plus, there is still an outside chance of getting a national seed. I don't think Oregon will get one, but they will definitely be under consideration.

Re: Oregon @ Utah (3 game series Fri-Sun)
last year everyone here thought we blew our chance at a national seed when osu swept us, but i said over and over again we were a lock because the ncaa looks at your entire season... not just one weekend. and then we were rewarded.
i'm going the opposite route this year. i don't even think we're truly in contention for one. our rpi and sos are great, but we have not put the body of work together over the course of an entire season to warrant a top 8 seed. we just haven't. i'm expecting a #10-13 seed, which will get a regional back to eugene.

Yeah, last year Oregon had a number of big-time series wins, and many of them were on the road. This year Oregon hasn't really won a series versus a marquee opponent. They've been competitive, but they weren't able to grab that statement series victory. At least Oregon will still host a regional.oregontrack wrote:last year everyone here thought we blew our chance at a national seed when osu swept us, but i said over and over again we were a lock because the ncaa looks at your entire season... not just one weekend. and then we were rewarded.

Thorpe had his no hitter broken up in the 8th. 6-1 ducks.

I thought he was because of the no hitter, but it looks like he wasn't. Pitch count must have been really high.

How the heck did OSU blow that one? Their pitching must have really failed them in the last 2 innings.duckgrad99 wrote:Washington St beats Oregon state 10-9. Talk about a shocker!

It would take a monumental fail for OSU to not at least tie for the title... They would have to be swept by Wazzup.
