Getting really excited for this game. Not going to lie though, it sucks Artis won't be able to play. Loyd's improved, but I don't know if I trust him running this team yet. But it definitely helps to have Calliste and Young to hopefully help take the load off him.
How big is Georgetown this year? Can we survive with a smaller lineup?
Seen multiple previews on ESPN, so this is probably opening days biggest game.

Re: Georgetown vs #18 Oregon (Friday 5 pm ESPN)
I'm super jacked for this game. Football season is awesome but the ridiculous expectations on the football team almost take the fun out of it at times. I miss the days when each win was something to be celebrated, especially against a ranked team. Now a days it's the expectation and anything less than a blowout is a disappointment. Obviously the goal is a national title so that is the reasonable reaction to their games. But it's why I just love the basketball season. Their success is so much more rewarding as a fan.
Losing Artis sucks but with Young, Dotson and Calliste, Lloyd doesn't have to do anything but facilitate. Something I think he can do just fine, he gets into trouble when he tries to do anything besides that. Carter is the big loss IMO. The front court was already thin enough and Carter is so much more skilled than the others besides Moser. You could usually count on Carter.
Georgetown has 11 guys 6'6 and taller and a forward heavy roster... They're projected to start 6'9 and 6'8 posts with 6'10 Josh Smith coming off the bench along with a 6'7 and 6'6 guy. Hopefully the we can make them adjust to us, not the other way around.

Not a bad start for us, 6-5 Ducks.

Moser just keeps jacking up the 3. Need to get him to stay closer to the rim, imo. Also the new/old hand checking rule, is going to really benefit us this year.

Moser, Austin, Amardi all with 3 fouls. Could definitely use Carter.

Dang, let's hope we can start hit buckets next half cus we can win this game even without Artis and Carter. But dang, that was a lot of iron that we hit, lol.

Moser needs to have a big half coming up, ducks needs to pass more in the key when Georgetown is in their zone. At one point ducks were 5-20 and up five I think, start hitting some shots and should come out with the W.

Wish we had Armstead to bang down low with Smith. The shots will eventually fall, so much potential firepower, they just need more time to gel. That being said, what a great venue and vibe. This kind of trip will only help the team bond and mature.

I can't stand Josh Smith. All of Oregon's posts are going to foul out.

Loyd to Armadi on the PnRoll.
Moser takes a charge. Ducks up 5 with 91 seconds!

Impressed with Amardi. He's stepped up big against Smith down the stretch.
