Ducks up 5 at the half. They are shooting well but having trouble rebounding and free throw shooting

I really like Cook, wouldn't mind seeing Moser move to the 5 and Cook start at the 4.

Cook is an amazing athlete.
The team looks good. Just wish they would shoot FTs better and get rebounds.

Tonight is just an off night. Moser and Young are the ones missing so I wouldn't expect them miss as often in future games.Phenom wrote:Cook is an amazing athlete.

I don't remember an Oregon team ever having this many legitimate offensive weapons.
The scary thing is we still don't have our starting PG and one of our only returning front court returning players back yet.

What are we missing is legit big man who can dominate on board and post offense, unlike Austin which I believe is not a dominant center. With one, think how dangerous ducks can be?

Carter can get after it in the rebounding and defense departments.

I think we're good enough and, maybe more importantly, deep enough to impose our will on other teams. We play tight defense and have like 6 guards and 4 forwards that can all fly up and down the court and score.
Would definitely be nice to have a 6'10+ player with some actual game, but I like what we have right now. A big man might just slow us down. I think the key for us is going to be playing lock down perimeter defense (denying the entry pass) and keeping the tempo high.

I can't decide who the bigger scapegoat is, Aliotti or Loyd.justducky0 wrote:Loyd only had 11 points and shot 6 times why is he still playing?????!!!! OHHH EMMM GEEEE. Just getting out in front of the comments this time.

Same, I've really enjoyed watching him play from the start. He's athletic, likes to play inside, and he's one of the few guys that'll bang for rebounds.dthomas=ddixon wrote:I really like Cook, wouldn't mind seeing Moser move to the 5 and Cook start at the 4.
He plays a lot bigger than he is. We've yet to see his outside game, but apparently that's there too.
His FT shooting can improve, but he's already looking better.

Cook looks really good. He is very athletic. I really like Moser a lot. You can tell he has played for awhile. Has a nice inside out
game. The guards are something else. I have not seen a team at Oregon in a long long time that has this many
weapons. If they can shore up the defense a bit and rebound a bit better look out. They have the talent to make a
nice run in the tourney. And all this with out 2 players they need.

I was just thinking about this team.. To bad that Joe Young wasnt here last year.
We made the sweet 16 but i think he would have been the missing piece. And i think
were better this year athletic wise. Inside we may be at a disadvantage in some games.
This team however is really fast. They push the ball and ball movement is pretty good.
We have the team now we just need the fans to go to the games. 5000 to 6000 is not enough.
The ducks are fun to watch thats for sure.
