Free Agency Process
Here is how offering a contract works
All offers must be PMd to Commish before each FA sim. No more then 15 offers per FA sim will be inputted. Please list the offers like this....
3yrs, 5million per year, 5% increases.
Length can not be longer than 6 years. The amount of the contract is determined by what you feel the players value is, and your cap space. %'s increase can be between 0 and 10(Bird-rights allow you to offer more). Besides dollar amounts, you may also offer...
MLE-mid level exemption(4.5 mill)
MLE contracts can be extended up to 2 extra years. (By Sim 2)
2nd year: 5.4mill
3rd year: 6.3mill
Inseason MLE Feature: Teams who did NOT use their MLE during the offseason FA can sign up to one free agent to a MLE deal. Players signed to inseason MLE can also be extended up to 2 extra years (By Sim 2)
LLE-low level exemption(1.2 mill)
MAX-maximum salary (amount will be determined by cap space and years in the league)
MIN-minimum salary (amount will increase based on years in the league)
No Contracts worth 1 million or less for the first 1 day of FA, unless you can only sign min contracts to fill out your roster and no multi year min deals
Minimum Contracts (Based on Player's Experience)
Rookie - $332,817
1 year - $465,850
2 years - $540,850
3 years - $565,850
4 years - $590,850
5 years - $653,350
6 years - $715,850
7 years - $778,350
8 years - $840,850
9 years - $965,850
10+ years - $1,000,000
Years of Experience 7 or more, 1 year max is okay
Years of Experience 6 and below, 3 year min for max
If you have bird rights, you can offer whatever amount
If you do not have bird rights:
Players with 6 or less years experience:
Max 1 year deal starting salary of 9 million
Max 2 year deal starting salary of 10 million
Max 3+ year deal starting salary is max if offered 3 years or more
MAX Starting years for offseason FAs:
0-6 years: 25% of salary cap (11.25 mil starting)
7-9 years: 30% of salary cap (13.5 mil starting)
10+ years: 35% of salary cap (15.75 mil starting)
