Marshall leads the team in receiving

If I told you Marshall would lead the team in receptions and receiving yards after 3 games, I don't think many people would believe it.

He's got great hands, and can take a hit. Allen and Carrington have also been impressive, and I think our WR future is really bright.

Mariota is doing a great job of spreading the ball around to a bunch of guys.

He's going unnoticed and Mariota is making defenses pay. I love his hands and how contact doesn't bother him. What a great move by the coaches.

Agreed, I'll eat my words when I said he didn't look like a TZR to me. He's doing awesome .

Really great hands and a pretty good route runner as well. Marshall has become exactly the player we needed him to be after DAT's departure to the NFL.

I thought he would fade into obscurity this season and thought he would not work in the slot at all. Thankfully I was very wrong, the coaches are using him better than they used DAT the last half of his career and Marshall is doing great at it.

Hate to say I told you so...no I don't. I did say I thought it was a great spot for him before the season started.

I'm just surprised the TE's have been pretty non-existent this year.

No way, are you crazy? Hes the slowest of our RB's. You want your fasted guy at TZR. I vote Freeman as he will be learning the plays all year long and hes fast as snot. Tyner at the 1, Marshall at the 2, and Freeman at TZR.
Its crazy but..................its like the coaches know more then me! I know, I know, it sounds insane, but I think they do!

Allen, Marshall, and Lowe have been terrific as receivers. Allen is so fast he just seems to run by DBs.. Marshall seems to have a feel for the game and does the right thing at the right time. Someone commented on another post about lack of TE use in receiving. With the receivers we have, I think we will see less than we have in the past. But it will still be effective when used. Pharoah had a TD. MM will continue to have big numbers passing this year, especially when the OL gets healthy and experienced. He won't be sacked 6-7 times often.

The problem with the TEs is that they've all been injured at one point or another. Brown has been the healthiest of any of them and thus gotten the most reps for the coaches and Mariota to feel comfortable with. Mundt even admitted Brown was ahead of him because of all the reps he'd been getting. It should be pointed out that Baylis didn't even make the trip to Pullman so that should also show why Brown has been the only real TE they've used.
