Masoli? Or are you confused with Chris Harper? Bellotti once said JM arm was the strongest he'd ever coached.

um, no.
Masoli could throw a potato over a mountain. On a rope. His touch was lacking to say the least.

nobody questioned his arm strength. not sure why it keeps getting brought up.

Yeah, Masoli had a cannon for an arm! But he wasn't always accurate, and he had bad touch. And his mechanics were awful at times. Remember how sometimes he'd go through that weird robotic stance/throwing motion?

Not going to complain about him though. Up until he stole that laptop, he was super fun to watch. Was like having a cannonball as a QB.

His height didn't help his odd release but he was damn fun to watch. Him getting to the second level and lowering the boom on DB's was fun

I seem to recall how after our Holiday Bowl victory over OK St in 2008 -- where I think Masoli ran over a DB TWICE -- that the Cowboys' head coach said that we were more "physical" than his team. I guess we reverted to "finesse" over the succeeding years . . . even though we were probably better than the the '08 team in each of those years . . .

There is an 11 minute highlight on youtube. His rushing TD was for 54 yards!

I always say he was the most exiting player ever at Oregon. The definition of a baller. You were on the endge of your seat whenever the ball was in his hands, sometimes it wasn't a positive thing but it was certainly fun to watch!

Masoli was also arguably the best QB Oregon has had with the read option play- the guy virtually NEVER made the wrong read on the DE, and that's tough to do every single time.

I miss having a QB like Masoli in the red zone.

That's not how I remember it. I remember him keeping the ball on many occasions that he probably shouldn't have. He just ran the ball with authority, so it still usually resulted in positive yards.

Y'all keep counting out Lockie....we'll see what happens when he's playing with the ones. He won't be Marcus, but no one will

False starts until we're at the 1/2 yard line?

In his defense, that's about the most insignificant place to have a false start
