Sweet to see Kiko back with CK. Also, Haven't really followed why Eagles would want to trade McCoy, but is he expiring soon or something?
I've always thought highly of McCoy..

Would have been ~12 mil cap hit. You have to wonder if this isn't the best move with Kiko coming of the blown knee?UOducksTK1 wrote:Sweet to see Kiko back with CK. Also, Haven't really followed why Eagles would want to trade McCoy, but is he expiring soon or something?

The Eagles will also cut Demeco Ryans, so they save close to 18 million and get a Pro Bowl level LB(if healthy)

RBs don't have much value in today's NFL.

Philly fans are pissed. I think it was a good move financially but I am curious to see who they get as another RB.

Re: Kiko to Eagles
They could get someone like: Gurley, Gordon or Tevin Coleman all likely in the 2nd round. Or sign someone like Spiller or Bush for a lot cheaper than McCoy.

I would love to see Chip try to utilize Bush.lukeyrid13 wrote:They could get someone like: Gurley, Gordon or Tevin Coleman all likely in the 2nd round. Or sign someone like Spiller or Bush for a lot cheaper than McCoy.

Chip needs an everydown back now.karlhungis wrote:I would love to see Chip try to utilize Bush.lukeyrid13 wrote:They could get someone like: Gurley, Gordon or Tevin Coleman all likely in the 2nd round. Kiko & Chippy.............love it! It's a story that's come full circle as Kiko owes his whole NFL career to Chip, as does LGB. He could have kicked him off the team, but saved his future instead. Can't wait.

Chip better produce this year or the end is in sight. The NFL fan base is not a fan of College coaches coming in and trading/drafting all of their former players and then not winning.

Re: Kiko to Eagles
They traded McCoy and cut Cole and Cary Williams to create loads of cap space to go after some of the top FAs on the market this off-season. Plus, getting Alonso helps shore up their woeful defense even if it means getting rid of one of the top RBs. With the offense he runs, I think he'll be able to find someone that can easily contribute.
