11-18, tied for the 5th worst record in the NBA. IF we can somehow get the top pick and land Ben Simmons, it will be a successful season.

Now Lillard has plantar fasciitis and is missing his first start. If he gets shut down for the year, we may end up giving the 6'ers a run for their money.UOducksTK1 wrote:11-18, tied for the 5th worst record in the NBA. If I was management with nothing to lose, I would be looking for every opportunity to sit Lillard this season and see if the team can grow faster without him hucking up 20-30 shots every game.

I was looking at the standings yesterday and thinking we could have one the five worst records. Even if Lillard sat out the year, Philly would have a worst record. One win in what 30 games, they might not win 11 games all season. Would be amazing to get Simmons to go with Dame and C.J. going foward

But if we get in the top 3, our odds for getting #1 in the lottery are much improved.thomas time wrote:I was looking at the standings yesterday and thinking we could have one the five worst records. Re: Portland Trail Blazers Thread
I say start the "Suck for Simmons" campaign. Don't necessarily sit Dame all year but wait until he is 100% healthy, which with a plantar fascia injury, could take a long time. Let's see what we have with McCollum, Aminu, Harkless, Vonleh, Cliff Alexander and the rest of the young guys. I'd support that more than a concerted effort to compete and end up with a #9 pick overall where you end up with another Meyers Legend.

Re: Portland Trail Blazers Thread
Yeah this team is young and not entirely healthy and are not going to even be close to making the playoffs so they should make sure everyone is 100% healthy before returning them to play and get the younger guys some experience to see what they got and at the same time improve the odds of getting that #1 pick.

I'm still hoping Portland miraculously gets the 7 seed.

Why? Not confident in Spurs making it to the 2nd round otherwise?OregonFan4Life wrote:I'm still hoping Portland miraculously gets the 7 seed.

Nope, wanna go to another Spurs playoff game, and also since I'm moving to Portland I'm jumping on the Blazers bandwagon, sorry true Blazers fans.

Talks of maybe trading CJ for Jahlil Okafor that would be a great pick up with how well AC is playing and with the amount of wing players in this year's draft

CJ is my favorite player on the team, but can't complain if Okafor is our return value. Lots of upside.Duckattack7 wrote:Talks of maybe trading CJ for Jahlil Okafor that would be a great pick up with how well AC is playing and with the amount of wing players in this year's draft
