the downside of playing the clips would be watching them whine for 48 minutes. doc rivers' celtics used to lead the league in whining, and unfortunately he's brought that aspect out west.

15-24 to 43-38 is really impressive. 28-14 since that 15-24 start.

I read they were the first team to make playoffs during a season in which they were nine games under at some point since 2007-08. Hopefully they win one game vs the clippers and keep the games somewhat close.

C.J. wins Most Improved in a landslide, great season he had during the regular season. Needs to pick it up here in the playoffs like last year vs the grizzles.

2-2 and CP3 is out for the rest of the series. Wonder what the odds of Portland making the second round was at, week 1?

Good home wins for the blazers. CP3 being out makes this series much more interesting.

Re: Portland Trail Blazers Thread
i'm still nervous. it's a best of 3, and the clips still have homecourt. all the pressure has turned on us. jordan, reddick (even with a heel issue), and crawford are still really good. and it'd be blazer luck to have austin rivers turn in his two biggest games of his career.
i think we can, and probably will, win this series but i don't think it's a foregone conclusion. i want NO part of a game 7 in LA. take care of business tonight, then win it at home.

I'm on board with this thinking. Way to many people are expecting the Clips to lay down, not gonna happen. Blazers are going to have to bring it.oregontrack wrote:i'm still nervous. it's a best of 3, and the clips still have homecourt. all the pressure has turned on us. jordan, reddick (even with a heel issue), and crawford are still really good. and it'd be blazer luck to have austin rivers turn in his two biggest games of his career.

pdx scared the crap out of me in the first half. lillard 1 point, lol. but harkless kept us afloat, and lillard and cj finished it.

Kind of a joke that Stotts didn't win coach of the year. The Warriors were historically great but they were historically great under both Walton and Kerr. That is no disrespect to Kerr at all either, just given the expectations and talent on this team, I think Stotts has done a better coaching job.

I agree. Would voters give a player the MVP award to someone who only played 40 games. Hell no they wouldn't. Stotts should have won in a landslide.Duck24 wrote:Kind of a joke that Stotts didn't win coach of the year. Coulda been up 2-1 if we didn't let game 2 slide.
