2004 SF's

Post by Brophdog88 »

Josh Smith SF 6'9'' 210 18 C+ C+ C+ B C+ B: Smith has that high schooler like ability sheet. He isn't the most talented player right now, being 18, you don't necessarily expect that, but he is extremely athletic, and a pretty good all around playmaker. He sees the court pretty well considering his size and age, as a nice passing SF, plus, he tacks on superb statistical defensive ability. Good on the glass at both ends as well, using his quickness well, with good instincts, though he tends to get outmuscled. Otherwise, everything is raw, he isn't as strong as you would like for PF, and doesn't score very well inside. Tends to shoot poorly from in the midrange and likes to fall in love with the three. Very Raw, and expect him to need time to become something. As with any high schooler, he is a gamble because he needs so much growth, but the ceiling is amazingly high.

Lebron James SF 6'8'' 250 20 B+ C+ B- B- C+ A : Don't be put off by LeBron's on file B scouted, it should be A, he is an exceptional talent and despite a deep class, a pretty clear number one. People wondered why he went to school, but it was determined he had a knee injury in high school, one that cost him much of his athleticism. However, he is still an exceptional talent, because despite this, in college, he was an absolute force as a post player. Dominating to the tune of 28 points 11 rebounds as a Center, LeBron will be dominant right off the bat coming out. His strength is amazing, he scores inside with the best of them, with a solid jump shot to boot. Just an ok three point shot, and as stated, a bit slow and not much of a jumper anymore, he still should provide good passing as well. You may want him at PF for his career, which he should be capable of handling. Either way, Scouts are certain he is a complete stud, with exceptional talent, and at SF or PF he should be plenty capable. Not an SG though. (Ineligible to play at SG/PG, only may play SF/PF/C as a starter)

Zhu Fangyu SF 6'8'' 220 21 C+ C+ C B C A: Raw player out of China, and due to restrictions by Chinese officials, nobody has ever seen Zhu play a full game in person, only highlights sent over by Chinese officials. As such, there really isn't much that can be said as to his talent. Scouts think he looked pretty athletic from the film they were provided with, and his shot form looked ok, but outside that, its a mystery.

Luol Deng SF 6'8'' 220 19 C+ C+ C B- C A: Deng is not a player you expect to be a star, but he is a really solid player, and at just 19, thats a rarity. He seems pretty well polished on the offensive end, given his age, with a solid ability to create offense for himself, and a nice jump shot. All Around he shows good positional Defensive skills, but he rarely gambles on steals, and doesn't show a knack for blocks. Not really a great athlete, average quickness at SF, and mediocre at best leaping skills, he might get beat up a bit by the better athletes at this level, and that has scouts a bit lower on his potential than say a Josh Smith, but his floor is also much much higher, should be a good starter, and has potential for more.

Andre Iguodala SF 6'6'' 200 20 C+ C+ C B C A: Igoudala is a good defender, with a very nice jump shot, and solid offensive creation ability. Scouts love his footwork as a post defender, and on the perimeter he does a solid job as well, with quick hands to go for steals. Good strength to hold his own against most SF's and a good passer. Scouts like him quite a bit as well in a deep SF class.

Dorell Wright SF 6'7'' 200 19 C+ C D+ C+ C- B: Wright is an older player considering he comes straight out of high school. Great athlete, with excellent strength, but like many high schoolers, everything is raw, and drafting him is a gamble on potential.
