You cant sign FA’s once the playoffs start so if they are out for the duration of the playoffs, yes you will need to sign another one. My working definition of two PGs would be healthy and eligible to play. Open to other definitions thoughBucksGM wrote:So if you have 2 entering the playoffs and one goes down, do you need to sign another one?Oregon Ownage wrote:Any else have thoughts?Oregon Ownage wrote:Should it be mandatory to roster two eligible PG’s for the playoffs? I was thinking about this recently bc it creates a mismatch if your starting PG goes down and you are now starting a non PG for however long the starter is injured for.

Re: Offseason Discussion/League Improvements
What are everyone's thoughts revamping the lottery system to the current setup in the NBA?
The new system is below with the bolded percentages the old value:
Team 1 > 14.0% (25.0%)
Team 2 > 14.0% (19.9%)
Team 3 > 14.0% (15.6%)
Team 4 > 12.5% (11.9%)
Team 5 > 10.5% (8.8%)
Team 6 > 9.0% (6.3%)
Team 7 > 7.5% (4.3%)
Team 8 > 6.0% (2.8%)
Team 9 > 4.5% (1.7%)
Team 10 > 3.0% (1.1%)
Team 11 > 2.5% (0.8%)
Team 12 > 1.5% (0.7%)
Team 13 > 1.0% (0.6%)
In short, the bottom 3 teams would receive the same odds (14%) with increased odds for the teams at the back-end of the lottery. Also with this, we can divide percentages where teams tie and removes the luck variable of who gets the better pick. Example: Teams 4 & 5 tie with the same record so we would combine their odds (12.5 and 10.5 = 23) and divide them between the teams. Teams 4 & 5 would receive new odds of 11.5% each.
It would be run through a third party site (http://www.draftpicklottery.com/index.php) where I can input the values on the custom style.
I understand this would be drastic but I envision this taking away some elements of a full tank which would make the league more competitive over time.

I'd support it. It would discourage full-on tanking a la trading away anybody with a modicum of talent, while rewarding those who maybe aren't particular good but are trying to amass talent (looking at you Hornets ).
Does make more work for you though.

Re: Offseason Discussion/League Improvements
I like the change, there has been a lot of split seasons recently, where people figured out it was best to be either really good, or really really bad. Evening out the odds should discourage full strip-downs.
Also... should we bring in a salary floor too?

Salary floor might not be a bad idea either as mentioned by Cellar..

Are we off the list of real players? I'm just assuming there is no way that there is a list of the best 2-5 year old players in the world hahaha

Sorry for how late my response is. We on fake players now. Have been for about four years (drafts) now.Marzeial wrote:Are we off the list of real players? I'm just assuming there is no way that there is a list of the best 2-5 year old players in the world hahaha
Also reminder, this is the year the new lottery system kicks in. Here is the link addressing the new system: http://www.ducksattack.com/forum/viewto ... 41&t=33058

Do we have any plan to get back to real players again, even by just having a back to the future moment turning back to real people?Oregon Ownage wrote:Sorry for how late my response is.
