Re: 2017 Natty
You think a true freshman could come in and unseat a guy who won SEC Offensive Player of the Year and led them to an undefeated SEC and likely national championship? I think there's a better chance Tua transfers before the season starts than of him beating Hurts out.

On a Saban team ? Yes. Saban doesn't care who played the year before he wants the best player to play. If Tua comes in and is flat out better he'll play.Duck24 wrote:You think a true freshman could come in and unseat a guy who won SEC Offensive Player of the Year and led them to an undefeated SEC and likely national championship? Could be biased but wasn't that hit on Watson targeting?

Re: 2017 Natty
Clemson is going to win 35-31 after Watson throws a TD pass with 1 second left in the game. He absolutely carved them up through the air (like many said he could potentially do since Alabama's CBs were a big weak spot) with 420 yards and 3 TDs.

Wow that was a great game. Remember when Mora said spreads don't win championships?

Re: 2017 Natty
I think just about every team that's won in the past 10 years has run some sort of spread offense or incorporated spread concepts to their base offense. Stupid comment by Mora.Duck24 wrote:Wow that was a great game. Remember when Mora said spreads don't win championships?

That was a great game. Those were the two best teams. Great to see Saban lose.Bud Lee wrote:Yes Sir, that game was very fine indeed

Two great things that Clemson did after they won:
1) Dabo gave a shoutout to the people who couldn't afford to make it to the game. Like seriously, who does that? AWESOME.
2) Coaches and players gave a shoutout and thanked the previous Clemson teams and players. That's a family.

I dont think it was a good game. Very good 4th quarter but the first three were really bad/sloppy.Duck24 wrote:Wow that was a great game. Remember when Mora said spreads don't win championships?

Can't say I've been all that impressed by Hurts. His passing leaves a lot to be desired. His playing style is very Masoli-ish.

Re: 2017 Natty
It seems like Lane Kiffin getting hired at FAU realllllly effected Hurts. He played really well all season but under performed in the playoffs when he had half a Kiffin for one game and Sark for the other. The Bama offense was run heavy all year though so I don't fault him much for the loss. Credit Clemson's defense.greenyellow wrote:Can't say I've been all that impressed by Hurts.
