All,

While the article isn't absolute, it looks pretty close to the end for adding Craig to the staff. Stranger things have happened but looks like we're moving on.

Sounds like $$$ was a factor. Doesn't make sense to spend that much on a WR coach, TBH. He had his chance and didn't take it. Would still want him at WR coach at a fair rate.

Starting to look like Taggart won't be filling this position for another couple weeks.

Not surprised. Really curious to see where he ends up. Anyways, we can take our time on the hire, there really isnt a rush so Willie can do his due diligence on who to tap as WR coach. My opening bet is Weist though.

Sounds like Craig wanted to be a coordinator and that wasn't happening. Doesn't help that he probably wanted more money than you should pay a guy who just got fired.

I would like him as a hired recruiter and position coach. Anything more seems like he would already be in a position if he had the chops. If he wants and OC job, he may have to start small and prove himself.

I'd say look at the Michigan staff for a clue to who the coach is.

Pep Hamilton and how he earns over a million?

Oh no, not Pep.

Now...Drew Terrell on the other hand...that man has some interesting ties to a certain program Willie coached for.

Drew Terrell
Offensive Graduate Assistant
Drew Terrell is in his second season as a Michigan offensive graduate assistant coach, where he assists with the wide receivers and returners. Terrell was an offensive graduate assistant coach during the 2014 season at Virginia Tech.
Terrell was a four-year letterman at wide receiver and punt returner at Stanford University (2009-13). He appeared in 45 career games for the Cardinal, where he was honored as an All PAC-12 returner three times. Terrell was the leading receiver in the 2012, when the team finished the season with a 12-2 record and won both the Pac-12 championship and the Rose Bowl.

Terrell earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford (2013).

Ohhhhh makes sense. Apologies, I did a quick skim of the Michigan coaching staff and the only person related to WR's was Pep.

Interesting. He is young and looks like to be smart coach if he comes from Stanford. Would you say he is the #1 possibility for the WR coach position?

Of course I use the term Michigan staff loosely. And when his name comes out people will understand that statement.

I don't see TJ Weist's name in the USF coaching staff list.
