oregon wins game one 1-0 behind an 8-inning, 17 strike out gem from david peterson. easily the most dominant performance of his career.

kasser's solo HR was the only score of the game. yovan with his third save.

MSU dominated us last year so it's nice to get the win.

Good to see Peterson bounce back from his rough starts earlier.

3-3 in the 8th, game two. mercer had a 3-1 lead in the 6th until an abysmal/boneheaded error by the right fielder put two in scoring position. a single two batters later tied the game. not mercer's fault.

got the first two on in the 7th, but we struck out bunting to put an out on the board and MSU would eventually get out of the jam. i don't mind small ball, but if that's your philosophy not being able to put down a bunt drives me up the wall like nothing else.

lots of self inflicted errors in this one, but hopefully we can pull it out.

ducks lost game two 5-4, but won game three 6-5 in 11 innings to take the series.

GREAT weekend. this Mississippi State program is always good and they destroyed us last year. to turn around and win the series a year later is pretty sweet.

say what you will but 3 weeks in and oregon has yet to lose a series. this freshmen class has provided a huge boost.

we beat uc-davis 7-2 last night to cap the weekend. freshman zach noll (1-0) gave up a run over 5 innings for the win, sophomore isaiah carranza pitched the final four innings for the extended save.

we're 7-4 w/ a 4-gamer this weekend against santa clara (3-8) beginning thursday. santa clara won't help our RPI any, but getting some wins will help boost the ol w/l record.
