He can rot for a year at UnLV as their two best players form last year transferred so he won't have much help

Yeah but he's not a post player though. I am sure there are some grad transfers or other center recruits out. Don't know any of any names. We really need a true center. That has something we've lacked forever.Duckattack7 wrote:Didn't we get a 6'10 transfer Paul White or something like that from Georgetown ?
After Jhop left, that guy isn't sure of anything.lukeyrid13 wrote:Prehm said we had a center transfer locked up a month ago but I think he was just guessing and hoping for it to come true.
Funny, if any of you were paying attention to the Marlon Tuipulotu recruitment by USC, they were saying something similar there. Someone got a job to a family member while he is enrolled at USC (although technically I don't think that's against the rules.) Of course, if I was going to college and somebody could get my family members, casino jobs (at least as people are saying) while I played, that would be a huge plus. I can't say I would blame someone for turning that perk down. When Ruth went bonkers when Tuipulotu flipped I laughed my ass off!greenyellow wrote:I'm likely not the only one thinking that something shady went on with McCoy at the end. Sucks to not get him but Altman seems to be after a few other guys that could help out.
Edit: Looks like a contributor to another 247 Sports site said he was starting to hear things a few weeks back that UNLV was lurking behind MSU and Oregon for McCoy and that some iffy stuff BTS went on to make him flip from an Oregon-lock to now a UNLV commit.
I compiled a list of the claims against McCoys recruitment to UNLV and e-mailed them to pertinent members of the NCAA infractions committee to forward to the investigative team, which we remember from the Willie Lyles investigation isn't a very big team.greenyellow wrote:I'm likely not the only one thinking that something shady went on with McCoy at the end. walsh = thomas welsh? even if he does come back (he declared for the draft w/o an agent), he's a skinny 7'0 kid who shoots jumpers. what i meant by the pac-12 not being an overly large conference is that we don't have to worry about a ton of bruisers commanding the paint. there aren't any ike diogu's roaming around next year. we can still be pretty good next year playing small ball.lukeyrid13 wrote:Arizona will have DeAndre ayton next year and UCLA still has Walsh. I don't think we would fare well against those squads.
