Interesting trade

I am intrigued to see how it plays out this season and next year if Favors does not resign.

It's a fine equal in value trade and everything, but I don't really get it either.
Favors seems like a better fit for Lakers and DeRozen a better fit for Houston.

I'm taking a pretty big gamble. Shooting guards are at a premium right now and there's no guarantee that I'll be able to resign Favors. My primary motivation was to free up cap space for a max offer. It could all be for nothing if I miss out on my top targets.

Well the problem is all stemming from Lillard testing free agency. I can't risk losing another top player for nothing. Even if Favors resigns I have him and Kanter talkin up 70% of my pay roll basically playing a similar role and I have no money for any guards. SG is also a tougher position to fill. 3 assets for 1. Risk I had to take, sad to see Favors go.
