Wow! I have mixed feelings about him, but wish him the best.

Edit to add, Ducks backfield is pretty deep tyner will certainly get a ton of playing time as a beaver.

I wish nothing but the best of luck for this kid! I'll never ever forget his last game as a Duck...now I can't wait for our boys to face him as a Beaver! Go Ducks!

Not surprised he has wanted to go there for a long time. Was always looking for a way to
Make it work.

Anyone know the NCAA reasoning behind not allowing a medically retired player to return to his previous team?

I'm not going to worry about him until he can prove he can stay healthy for an entire season. Plus, I think Oregon will have a much better team this season so the Civil War may be back in the Ducks' favor.

He's played 2 full seasons and sat out another 2 so will only have the single season at OSU.

Could not be happier for Thomas Tyner to try again on the grid iron and wish him the very best of luck.

My way, way outsider opinion of Mr. Tyner is that whatever it is that troubles him has always been between his ears. Sounds like he's found himself a bit, including a new home up at the Cow College.

Growing up is hard.

He's a talented kid and, as far as I know, never really let his ass hang out in a way that makes him some reprehensible or untouchable commodity.

Plus, the Beavers are going to need all the help they can get this year.

I don't know, if he is healthy he might smack the hell out of Autzen. That boy can run when he is all there. Power and speed!

Guess is that it's to avoid a loophole around the redshirt limit

Just for my own clarification on rules, Tyner medically retired from Ducks football and decided to return to football, but due to NCAA rules he cannot play for the Ducks, he needs to transfer to another school, but does not have to sit out a year? But he does lose a year of eligibility? Is that correct? Thanks Alan
