At the very least we should have done a 2 for 1. I believe that's what we always did with Fresno, and I think Nevada as well. I'd say Wyoming is on par with mid 2000s Fresno as an upper tier mid major

Who replaces the nine Wyoming starters that have left last year's team? Here's an article on the GoWyoGo site that discusses that. https://wyoming.rivals.com/news/uw-foot ... 9-starters

I think over a decade ago we were supposed to play someone like Georgia and then Chip happened and a few of our series got cancelled. In the article Mullens talks about the difficulty of being able to schedule OOC games.

I look at it as a game/team that the committee would view favorably for us even if we are unlikely to be in that discussion this season. Next year our schedule is garbage and won't do us any favors.

From the Wyoming's point of view this game is as important as when Texas and Nebraska visited Laramie. As in those games, temporary stands are being set up in the south end zone. It's going to be a sellout.

If, a big if, the Pokes can manage a victory against Iowa and Oregon, they'll be set up for a top 20 or higher season and a shot at a NY6 bowl game. For Josh Allen this is a big game as he needs to have great games throughout the season to up his draft status. I imagine that the Ducks will encounter a really fired up Cowboys team particularly if they are undefeated coming into the game.

As for me, I anticipate a tough game for the Cowboys. They'll have to play a near perfect game to win it. I'm looking forward to it.
