I should copy and paste the text I just sent in my group text. Here comes a "great value pick". Aka Blazers will never pay him and you'll have to fly to some obscure European city to see him play because he will never develop. #petterikoponengreenyellow wrote:He just got taken at #23 by Toronto so him going to Portland is not happening. Wouldn't be surprised if they take a Euro guy to stash overseas.Thurston wrote:This won't be popular here but if OG is available at 26 I would prefer Portland to take him over Bell.

Re: NBA DRAFT
Okey dokey that OG pick didn't pan out so now I am officially on the Bell bandwagon. It will put Portland at 16 players but I have to imagine consolidation trades are coming between now and training camp.

I was hoping for Bell but that's an OK pick.

Eh, not a huge fan of that one. I wonder what this all means for Nurk.

Re: NBA DRAFT
Yeah, that's an interesting pick. Elite rebounder and he can shoot threes. Bad foot speed so probably not a quality defender. Sounds like a good hustle guy, which always helps.

Re: NBA DRAFT
ya I wanted Jordan too, but if Swanigan comes close to what he did in college that's a good pick that late in the first.

Re: NBA DRAFT
Kinda of a meh pick with Swanigan. Not sure where he fits on this team.

I don't see Portland extending Vonleh so I'm sure Swanigan will be able to work himself into some backup 4 minutes as he develops.

If they're smart they'll realize that Altman is a coach who gets his players to play above their potential.Alan wrote:Yup, the only final four team with no first round picks....how will that sit with recruits I wonder.mrpd21 wrote:Well, no Ducks in the first round.

Re: NBA DRAFT
And now Bell has been traded to the Warriors. There were rumors the Warriors really wanted him so it they got their man. Even better spot for him.
