I missed the first SUU TD because of the USC game, but besides that, we could've easily held them to 7 points.
The second TD came on a very good play by the QB and a risky missed tackle by the Ducks defender. That was the only time SUU showed the ability to pull off that kind of play all game, so I'm inclined to think it was a fluke even though I credit them for making the play.
The third TD came on a short field thanks to TBJ's fumble. Off the kickoff from the previous SUU TD. So again, if SUU doesn't make that long TD play, TBJ never has a chance to fumble the kickoff.
Best part of the game was the energy on the sidelines. On one of the pre-game shows on Friday, Carson York said the thing he was most interested in seeing against SUU was how the players would react to positive plays. Would they celebrate as individuals or with their teammates? That question got answered on the opening kickoff!
I loved the new music they play before each kickoff ... the students were dancing, the players were hyped, and even the coaches were joining in! That was the most fun I've seen the Oregon players have in a LONG time.
Also, I dunno who #12 is (I think Sampson Niu) but he was really getting into it which got the crowd going. I'm hoping for more next Saturday against Nebraska!
