Oregon after SJSU transfer Brandon Clarke

It appears that Oregon may be going after San Jose State forward Brandon Clarke, a would-be JR who'd have to sit out a year. He was All-Mountain West First Team and All-Defensive Team last season while leading the Spartans in scoring, rebounding, and blocks. He played his HS ball in Phoenix but is originally from Vancouver, BC.

Like his game minus his inability to shoot. But his shot blocking, rebounding, and inside scoring game sounds like it's pretty well rounded.

TK the guy shot 60% from the field and 33% from 3. Sounds like a pretty good shooter from where I’m sitting.

He shot 1 for 3 on three pointers. So not much of a threat there. Also a 57% FT shooter. And if you watch his highlights, all his points are in the paint, hence the high FG%.

But he's what, 6'8? He'd be living in the paint here, too.

If Altman wishes it, make it happen.

Definitely, but having big men who can shoot around 75% at FT line, and being able to stretch the defense is also a huge plus. Especially in DA's system, he loves stretch forwards.

Good take by Nemec on Oregon basically passing on Clarke. If this had been any other year before this past season, Clarke would have been a must take. But with them coming off a Final Four appearance, the program is at near its peak in name recognition and players now know what Altman is capable of.

He did say that he would be ours if we wanted him. Looks like we passed.

Honestly... Good. Seems like Dana has bigger fish to fry at this point.

If he had been a grad transfer instead, we would have surely taken him.
