UCLA is an Adidas school. I fully expect more indictments once one of these guys turns, seeking to make a deal. I'd hardly be surprised to see Lavar involved somehow.

Are you saying he is implicated due to his son going to UCLA or he is implicated because of his laughable "big baller" brand?

I could certainly see Lavar taking a deal and then when it comes time to make it happen saying No. Might even explain the hubris behind wanting to start your own company.

I just wonder how much more can come out now that it's a public investigation and how many more "shoes" will drop?

Wow!

Sources: Basketball agency ASM Sports was raided today. FBI had warrant, took Andy Miller's computer.

My guess. If Addidas is dirty, and UA turns out to be also then Nike can't be far behind.

Nike was up because of anticipation of their financials being released today which weren’t great, but beat analysts predictions. I wouldn’t read too much into that.

When the Justice Department or the FBI gets serious is when cars arrive. Exits are blocked, employees are escorted to the parking lot, and boxes begin leaving the premises.

I have a feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg. I just hope UO doesn't get dragged into anything. People are saying this could end up effecting not only basketball but football also.

With the rapid and unchecked growth of 7-7, I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw a similar case at some point in the not too distant future. Football is a different beast though. I have no data to back this up but it seems like the “can’t miss” b-ball prospects more routinely go high in the draft than top flight football recruits. I could be completely wrong but just a hunch.

Based on Oregon's previous track record of paying to influence 4th string players, Sorkin seems like the one player that should maybe be concerned right now.

Finebaum thinks this could spread to football as well.
