Troy Dye has been hammering Taggart and FSU with his own tweets and retweets. Here's a sampling:

It's the old name of the school, like how we call oregon state, oregon agricultural college because it's the original name. The old colors used to be purple and gold until the women's college made garnett the school color.goducks wrote:And your point? Why does their mascot ride an Appaloosa horse, a breed developed by the Nez Perce indians of the Pacific Northwest?

100% with the team. Willie, we're moving on to better things.
Hopefully this galvanizes them into beating the s*** out of Boise.

Re: Willie to FSU
I've seen where he's taken a lot of flack on ESPN today. Three schools in one year and recruits left hanging at two of them. The biggest question was "was he dishonest?" After hearing the backstory from several people on TV and online, plus the reaction of the players, I've changed my position to "it sounds like it." I don't want to judge anyone, but Willie was obviously all about himself from the time he heard from FSU.
I was just watching a show on ESPN where they were comparing him to Lane Kiffin and what he did at Tennessee. The major point being that if FSU truly was his dream school, there should have been a clause put in his contract saying so. That would be a lot more understandable. Instead he and his agent just used Oregon as leverage to get more money from FSU - KNOWING that he was leaving the whole time!
He's definitely tainted his name in the coaching world. He'd better hope he does well at FSU because he's definitely burned some bridges.

He was just on sports center and looked like he was going to cry. Think he may regret his choice.

Maybe we could put an addendum on the thread title. "Willie to FSU and who's going with him" to keep the number of Wiley threads down.

Any way you or someone else who saw this could elaborate? Wish I could watch a video of this.TualatinDuck wrote:He was just on sports center and looked like he was going to cry. Think he may regret his choice.

He was talking about Oregon and the players, just the look in his eyes. He was very somber.

Re: Willie to FSU
On Wrighster's YT/Periscope video today, he said WT DM'd and talked to him on Saturday, where he told George that nothing sources were telling him were true and that he hadn't had any conversations with FSU. This made George question his sources and not report certain info, but most, if not all, his info ended up being true in the end. He doesn't view WT as a bad guy, but more as someone who got in over his head. Whole WT story starts around 14 minute mark and goes to just past the 30 minute mark. He then talks about Cristobal and Leavitt.
