What is the deal with Joey? He seems pretty active as a Duck from the media side…… but is he outside looking in as a former player?greenyellow wrote:

Joey was one of the alumni who wanted an Oregon guy for HC because they were tired of seeing Willie and Mario leave for Florida schools.
Lanning is of an age that he probably played the version of NCAA football with Joey on the cover so I won't read too much into it unless you see him do it with Akili next.

Re: Oregon Duck Players & Coaches' Twitter thread
I feel that was pure emotion because I felt like that for a day. I wanted to hire a west coast guy that would stay with Oregon. Then I thought about it a little bit and I realized Oregon needs to lean into this reputation of being a steppingstone for great SEC coaches. If Oregon gets the best SEC assistant coach every 4 years they will be more successful than if they stuck with one mediocre coach that was loyal to Oregon for 20 years.Duck07 wrote:Joey was one of the alumni who wanted an Oregon guy for HC because they were tired of seeing Willie and Mario leave for Florida schools.

This tweet and the "foundation" part made me think of Saul Patu who I believe still holds the record for TFL in a season at 19 but he was from Seattle and played at Rainier Beach (which is where Josh Connerly goes).greenyellow wrote:
