Didn't really want to give up a 1st for him. But him being a PF with a good outside game fits my team really well. Hopefully we get on a run and its a late 1st. Tired of being in the middle and needed to try and make a move.

Lol yikes. Guess the good news is this is the 1st trade I've ever made where guys thought I was on the bad end. Always been super conservative on sending away picks and it's been 1st round exits. Willing to take a shot. If it pays off great if not... I'm just out a later 1st

I think Markkanen is underrated, he does a lot of things well and doesn't hurt you anywhere which can be important in a role player. Obviously a mid-late first is around what I think his value is. Though I also think non-lottery 1sts can be overrated. A few guys break out, but the vast majority never even end up as good as Markkanen is now.
