He left but it seems Cristobal or some of the other coaches were able to talk him into returning.karlhungis wrote:Did I miss Matt Mariota getting back on the team? Didn't Slick kick him off?

Gotta note how much emphasis is being made on "physical" play. Haven't heard this much emphasis since I've been a Ducks fan. Curious to see what the output will look like come fall.greenyellow wrote:

I agree. Mario having been with Alabama and the sec has seen up close what the
physicallity is like. The national champ has been the more physical team most years.
I also am curious to see how they look.

Appears to have worked out well for everyone. From today's practice report Matt Mariota had a block in a perimeter passing drill to spring Dillon Mitchell for a gain, and Mariota later had a couple long receptions of his own. Watching his development this spring has been very fungreenyellow wrote:He left but it seems Cristobal or some of the other coaches were able to talk him into returning.karlhungis wrote:Did I miss Matt Mariota getting back on the team? Not only does this staff have some serious grit, they also seem to genuinely love each other. Very excited to see the results on the field.
