Putting ASU (#8 in the Pac 12) in the tournament and leaving USC (#2) out was an interesting choice. My conspiratorial mind wonders if it was done purposely to make the conference look bad when the Sun Devils inevitably lost in the first round.

A 16 seed beating a 1 seed was bound to happen eventually so luckily it occurs in the same season as a major conference not advancing one team out of the first round.

Yep, Buffalo just needs to beat Kentucky, and UMBC has to keep it going and beat Kansas State.
