First time

Post by Quietduck »

That is the first time I remember having our second string QB in the game in the first half with out a injury.

Costa looked solid, although I would have loved to see him pass more.

I agree a little too conservative with the play calling.

It was garbage time by the half, and Kelly wanted to run out the clock asap.

If they get that kind of advantage on UCLA, USC, UW, or Stanford, I bet the pedal stays to the medal.

Those teams are all considerably more threatening than Wazzoo was today.

It was said on the post game that Masoli tweaked his knee, no MRI was scheduled though and they would wait and see how it was tomorrow. Not to jinx it, but this kinda scares me. Thurmond was thought to have only tweaked his knee with no MRI scheduled, and then later that night it swelled and well, we all know the rest.

The hit on Thurmond was a million times worse than anything Masoli saw last night. You are right that anything can happen but the circumstances around the two injuries are drastically different.

And this could be a ruse, blowing something out of proportion in order to throw off UCLA's gameplanning for next week...

I was thinking the same thing, along with LMJ and Kaiser as well. But I saw the replay and he got his knee rolled up pretty good by a defender.

Masoli looked fine on the sidelines. No ice during the rest of the game. He was chatting it up & having a good time. Didn't look concerned at all.

C.E. is my concern with being on crutches. LMJ concerned me for awhile as I couldn't find him on the sidelines, then he popped up. He was chatting it up as well and no ice for him either. He was still dressed out the balance of the game.
