Oregon at 8.5 wins; would be pretty unhappy if they hit under on that. 9 wins should be absolutely expected with our experience on defense, at QB, and at OL.

Easy non-conference schedule making us potentially look better than we are.

I'll take the over on UCLA, Stanford and Cal. Under on Washington.

I heard from a fan up here in Washington that a team from the Pac 12 has to win a minimum of 6 Pac 12 games now to be bowl eligible. I would suspect this will make it difficult for some teams to be bowl eligible. If this is true Oregon will have to win 9 games this year to go anywhere.

The league voted to disqualify a team with an overall losing record from participating in a bowl game. Finishing 6-6 makes a team eligible.

That six win total includes non-conference games. Previously a 5-7 team could go to a bowl game if their APR (academic progress rate) met the threshold and there were unfulfilled bowl slots.

I mean at 100/1 why not put $20 on the Ducks to win the Natty?

That is exactly what I plan on doing. If the ducks lose, it’s only $20, doesn’t matter at all really. If they win, that’s $2,000, decent chunk of change.

We don't have near the depth and overall quality to compete for a NC. Herbert could be comparable to Mariota(unlikely though) and transform the team by himself, but we still had an overall better roster back in 2012-2014.

Our LB rotation and skill players just aren't at an elite level yet.

Because you are throwing 20 dollars away.
