Its been said that the biggest improvement in a season is week 2 from week 1, this is it for the 'Noles.

1-0: The Bulldogs, who were picked to win the SoCon by both the coaches and the media in the preseason, opened the season last Thursday night with a 66-9 win over Shorter University at Samford’s Seibert Stadium. Samford was led in the game by quarterback Devlin Hodges, completing 25- of-36 passes for 330 yards and five touchdowns. Kelvin McKnight caught six passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Roland Adams had 11 rushes for 71 yards and a touchdown. The Samford defense produced three interceptions, with Aaron Atkinson, Alec Happel and Christian Stark producing one interception each.

In last week’s season-opener, Samford’s offense produced four scoring drives of two minutes or less. Two of those four drives took less than a minute. In three seasons under head coach Chris Hatcher, Samford has had 72 scoring drives of two minutes or less and 36 that have lasted one minute or less.

Expect Willy to run the score up on these guys in an effort to balance the horrible stats from last week. He will be smug on the post game presser and the team will pat themselves on the back.

Well as a top ranked FCS team one can hope they can keep the game a lot closer than it should all game long. I'm not expecting them to win but Samford could make it fun to watch by at least frustrating those blowout hopes.

Don't rule out Samford! All they have to do is keep it close for the first half and then make one halftime adjustment.

Freaking love it. 23-14 4 mins left in the first half, Samford on top. Wonder how bad Slick is getting booed for the second week in a row. He may be on a very short leash if he loses this game at home.

FSU just scored a TD but it looks like Francois injured his wrist on the pass.

6 quarters of football at Doak Walker and his team has led for a grand total of 0 minutes and 0 seconds.

We seriously couldn't have had a better outcome to what transpired during those 365 days.

only down 2 at the half, defense steps it up & we should be in good shape for the upset
