The Ducks announced Friday that they would open the season at home on Nov. 6 against Portland State. The Ducks defeated the Vikings 95-84 last year at Matthew Knight Arena.

The match-up with the Vikings gives the Ducks nine nonconference games that have been announced with three or four more home games still to be finalized.

In addition to Portland State, Oregon will host Eastern Washington on Nov. 9, Green Bay on Nov. 20, and Boise State on Dec. 15.

Oregon will play five games away from home prior to the start of Pac-12 Conference play. The Ducks play Iowa in the 2K Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York on Nov. 15 followed by a match-up against Syracuse or Connecticut on the following night.

Oregon plays at Houston on Dec. 1 to open the new Fertitta Center. The Cougars are coming off a 28-8 season that ended with a loss to Michigan in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Ducks will return to Texas to visit Baylor on Dec. 21 and travel to Boise State on Dec. 29.

Oregon will open conference play by hosting Oregon State during the first week of January.

The Ducks will begin open practice during the final week of this month.

Huh, I've never heard of us playing a non-conference team twice in the same season. Hopefully we get revenge on BSU for last year's gut punch.

The double game thing is actually becoming common again in CBB.

Kinda weird, but I don't mind it.

Given our recent history with Boise State though, maybe I do.

Absolutely a step up in schedule strength, but it will make non-con fun and help our (whatever that thing they're replacing RPI with).

Those 2 games in Texas will both be tough ones. Houston is real good.

6 games against solid teams. I wish we had one game against an elite team, but overall a good enough non-conference schedule to keep our SOS solid.

Unfortunately only 1 of them is at home, so 5 road/neutral games will be a really good challenge for this team.

Hopefully most of the gametimes will get set before long.
