Blazers get their first win on the road trip with a 119-109 win over the Wizards, getting a season split with Washington. Lillard led the scoring with 40. McCollum, 25, Nurkic, 13 points, 13 rebounds , 8 assists. Markief Morris had a huge game against the Blazers in Portland, in this one: 3 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist. Lillard is the only player in the NBA this year with 3 40 or more games.

looks like the team with the best record in the west is the... [checks standings] portland trail blazers?

haha kind of cool but obviously meaningless. the west is so jumbled to start this season we're both in first place and yet only 3 games ahead of 12th place sac-town.

The Knicks have lost 5 in a row and 7 out of their last 8. To make this road trip respectable, the Blazers can't let this one slip away tomorrow.

To make it respectable you not only need to beat the Knicks but then 1 of 2 between the Bucks and Warriors with the Warriors being the more important game to win.

Pretty wild, but yes way too early. Nice win against Washington last night. Enjoyed watching the highlights. Nurkic's passing has been nice lately.

Fortunately Noah Vonleh (who had a nice game otherwise) helped his old team by missing 4 critical free throws in a row down the stretch.

Glad we pulled that one off, gotta start winning all the games we are supposed to, even if it is on the road.

Bucks 143 Blazers 100, as Lamar Hurd said, "just throw out the tape of this one."

With back to back spankings, they may run out of tape. Seriously poor performances, especially tonight’s game with two of their four all-stars out.

With 2:11 to play in the 4th quarter, the Blazers trailed, 100-93, but then Lillard scored 7 in about 15 seconds, a 3 and a free throw, a stop, another 3 and it was 100-100, but that is where the scoring stopped for Portland. The Blazers led 58-45 at halftime, but the Clippers took over in the 3rd, 38-16, for a 9 point lead that they never surrendered, and would win 104-100.

Losing Nurkic for the second half didn't help. This loss hurt.
