The AD at CU does not want Leavitt nor do the prominent alumni. To put it bluntly, he pissed many of them off when he was there.

The AD wants a young, up and comer who can recruit and have a positive relationship with the regents and administration at CU. Leavitt does not meet those requirements.

So he burned some bridges while at Colorado. Now the internet rumors have him as odd man out at Oregon and he is applying for multiple jobs. I'm sensing a pattern.

12 months ago, we were in full meltdown mode at the thought of him leaving and supported his $1.5M+ salary. Now he’s an odd man out and losing support? Interesting.

Colorado just hired the DC from Georgia to be their HC. Where does that leave JL for options outside of returning to UO next year?

I think JL could realistically only get a HC job at a group of 5 school. Like say Toledo or north Texas. I doubt their HC would even make 1.7 mil a year like he does now.

Kansas State has hired North Dakota State's Chris Klieman as its next head coach, multiple sources familiar with the decision told ESPN on Monday. Kansas State was the last remaining open head coaching job in the Power 5 conferences.

Hopefully this means he stays at least for one more year
