Coaching Carousel
Might as well keep ourselves mildly entertained for the next couple weeks.
Mack Brown reportedly to UNC. Didnt see that coming.

That’ll be a HEFTY buyout. Should have just let him walk to Arkansas last year.greenyellow wrote:Malzahn may be on the hotseat:

Re: Coaching Carousel
Return of the Mack.
He is working up the fan base by claiming to be targeting Kliff K for his OC. I just don't see that as even a slightly remote possibility. I think he is going to be a terrible hire because the game passed him by when he was at Texas and he couldn't win with 4 and 5 star talent across the board. I don't see how anyone honestly thinks he will win with 2 and 3 star talent. Not to mention the fact that now he will actually have to put effort into recruiting.
I also think Les Miles will only be slightly better at Kansas.

Re: Coaching Carousel
Top names being thrown around to replace Johnson are Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt (who played at GT) and Clemson co-OC Tony Elliott. Both would likely transition GT away from Johnson's flexbone option offense. If GT wanted to continue with that offense, they'd have to go with either Army's Jeff Monken or Navy's Ken Niumatalolo

What is wrong with people?greenyellow wrote:
Wednesday night, however, Brohm’s former high school, Trinity High School in Louisville, announced that it was canceling classes Thursday because of a threat it received in the wake of the coach’s decision.
Trinity officials were notified by police of a threat against the school due to Jeff Brohm deciding to remain at Purdue.
While police investigate the threat classes are canceled and offices are closed on Thursday, Nov. 29.
“We take these threats seriously, especially towards a school,” St. Matthews Police Chief Barry Wilkerson told ESPN.com. “We’re going to investigate as much as we can at this point. It’s difficult when you have Twitter accounts to trace back, so it’s a little more complex than pushing a button and figuring out who it is. We’ll investigate it fully and bring charges, if necessary.”

Re: Coaching Carousel
Probably lowers our chances with Kyle Ford. Any other receivers we could lose?
