Scott's a good pick for second team. He's had a great season with better linebacker play behind him next year he has the potential to be 1st team.

Throckmorton has also been named a 2nd-team AA by the Football Writers Association of America, further highlighting how bad the conference's own coaches messed up the all-conference teams.

Saw that Washington has one first team all-american at LB and two 2nd team all-americans in the secondary. They also have two other players who won the Morris trophy for offense and defense. Not one Oregon player of course. Washington had three losses and lost to Oregon. Oregon had one more loss. Why is Washington getting so much respect?

Whom would you think should have made it? I don’t think there is anyone, with the exception of Lemieux or Throck, that was remotely worthy.AshlandDuck wrote:Saw that Washington has one first team all-american at LB and two 2nd team all-americans in the secondary. Maybe not anyone, but that put out is better than anything Oregon ever did when they were a top 5 program for many years.Everythingsducky wrote:Whom would you think should have made it? I will take the Heisman over any of the other accolades, any day, any year.AshlandDuck wrote:Maybe not anyone, but that put out is better than anything Oregon ever did when they were a top 5 program for many years.Everythingsducky wrote:Whom would you think should have made it? Shoot, Marcus won that many accolades, plus the Heisman, in ONE season, all by himself!Everythingsducky wrote:I will take the Heisman over any of the other accolades, any day, any year.AshlandDuck wrote:Maybe not anyone, but that put out is better than anything Oregon ever did when they were a top 5 program for many years.Everythingsducky wrote:Whom would you think should have made it? Has Oregon ever had 3 first or second team all-americans and two other major conference award winners in the same season? Keep in mind that Washington did this with 3 regular season losses.woundedknees wrote:
