With the lack of development of receiver depth, I can’t say he was a vital coach, but it looks like there’ll be another opening.

According to several sources, Oregon WR coach Michael Johnson Sr is interviewing with Mississippi State for their open WR coaching position and is expected to be offered shortly. It'll be interesting to see who Oregon potentially hires in his place and if it affects the incoming recruits and others they're still after.

I wonder if there is a truly good coach from FCS who would fit?

If those two have any vision for the future then I say no.

Seemed like an okay recruiter but a terrible coach. I hope we get a better coach out of this.

Ya, and I feel like we have plenty of good recruiters on this coaching staff as is. Could use a better WR coach.

According to JHop, MC knew Johnson was looking around. Working for MC is not a walk in the park. You have to WORK. One of the reason Cort left.

Let’s see here... WR didnt block well. WR didnt catch well. Only “developed”’on WR. I am very ok with this move. You will trust me more if you go watch the highlights of the Ducks vs FSU Rose Bowl. Our WR were insanely good. Blocking and catching.
